Happy Accidents

Wasn't sure how I was gonna color the head for this, so I just started slapping down colors and playing with blend modes. And before I knew it, I had something that I thought was cool enough to keep. Because trust me, this isn't the first time I tried coloring this lol.

HEY Little Nikki!

I was working on a PSA animation for Little Nikki, a positive rap artist for children. Well actually everybody! Check out her site at http://heylittlenikki.com/

Though I animated her, I did not design her character. Since it was uploaded through blogger, the quality of the video took a HIT! But you'll soon be able to see it properly when I update my demo reel.

Been a while...

I've been busy working on commissions and sadly neglecting my blog. Even got a client that has a NDA, my first one! Top secret stuff! But here are some things I've been working on. I need to update my demo reel too! Up first are some more profile pics for social media websites like Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. Followed by a birthday gift to my friend. I inked and colored his original drawing so he could see his character colored. I've always been a South Park fan, and Towlie has always been my favorite character. Despite the images, I'm drug free!

Recent Stuffs

Below are a few things I've been working on. A new profile picture I made for myself for facebook due to the increase in Candy Crush invites I was receiving. Quick, rough, sketches of ninja chess pieces for a possible game collab with some friends, more work on that MegaBlaziken, and giant body types for a client who wants a giant character.

Working

I've been busy working with kids at a summer camp teaching photoshop and drawing so I've been slacking on updates, but when it's over I'll be back to post some things I worked on during the camp and in my free time.

Jamal

This is Jamal, the main character from the commission I've been working on for a while now. I was given a photo of the guy, but figured it would be weird to post his picture without permission, you can see him in the link though. But this cartoon version of him will do. These are some of the progess images it took to get to the final version on the bottom right. From working with the creator, there was alot of back and forth trying to get the right face and outfit, I kinda just made an outfit up (top right) until I was given the reference to do it right. And also here are the fleshed out poses from the earlier climbing post. Spider-Men Update

 Haven't been able to work on this one like I want to, but I make time here and there. But I'm just not feeling it anymore. I feel like if anything it was a good exercise, and I need to learn how to compose better group shots. I may just split em all up and use em as a coloring exercise. Had to change Pete's leg, I couldn't get the angle or perspective just right, and everything I did made his ankle look broken. Still a work in progress with rough lines and rough colors.

Progress for Kaine

Got around to working on Kaine for the Spider-Men picture. Still  rough, but he's getting there. Changed alot of things around. Can't wait to work on this again.

Just dabbling with the program some. I'd love to get better at coloring in it. So until then. It's gonna be photoshop for coloring. Made a nice profile pic.

Spider-Men

I like Spider-Man. I like Peter Parker. I like Miles Morales. I like Kaine Parker. Soooo lets draw em! Copy and paste of the descriptions from facebook. I always told myself I don't do Spider-Man justice when I draw him, so I never did anything beyond a lil doodle. But I gotta push myself. I love him too much not to draw him!

 Took the sketches into photoshop and added the rough outline refining the pose adding details seeing what needs to change before laying down the final lines. Can't wait to work on Kaine and Peter next!

I just couldn't wait to start coloring, so I whipped up a quick paint test, and since I dig Miles ability to camouflage he's gonna be leaping out of camo to attack in the final piece. Laying down the colors made me realize I have no idea how I'm gonna color the final pic >.<

Gone for a Minute

But now I'm back. Life threw me some curveballs, but I bounced back. Alot of stuff to upload, most of it was posted on my facebook. I should have posted here instead -_- anyways check out some stuff from a comic that fell through that I was gonna work on with some friends.
